well i think its carma... the little shits do something wrong and they get their cummupents...
where i used to live the railway line was to far for kids to go to 2 mess about... a few went up to spot but we were 'dedicated'. those kids did drugs and robbed people... if kids know their is a railway station around and it isnt busy cause their gunna cause trouble.
most of these kids are from poorer backgrounds which means sum sort of club should be set up for them

There was a discussion about this on radio 2 today and the father of one of the kids that was killed is quoted as saying that he is angry with his son for wasting his life. At last a grieving parent talks sense, he mentioned that on the same day 2 British servicemen were killed in Iraq fighting for their country while his son was killed in pursuit of a quick thrill.
Some fellow grafitti artists came on the show and were going on about how grafitti is an artform and a way for young people to express themselves. BOLLOCKS IT IS PURE VANDALISM!!!
We can now expect a wave of train grafitti as apparently when an 'artist' is killed whilst doing the business others pay their respects by trying to replicate what they were doing.

I forgot to mention that its not just kids who do this, there is a whole organisation with a monthly magazine and a website dedicated to the art of grafitti. The young men in question had become obsessed with it to the point of recklessness. One of them had a 5 month old son and because of their stupidity that kid is going to grow up without a father and i can tell you that isnt easy.

I think it simply reflects upon the theme of society today. Take for example one of the five prostitutes who was murdered in Ipswich last year. My sympathy for one of them dropped significantly when it came out that she had a child and was engaging in prostitution in order to feed her £100 a day drug habit.
Clearly in this day and age, the less responsibility you take for your actions and the more lame the excuse then the more of a martyr you become.

There is a difference between desperation and sheer irresponsibility though

That's true. But although addiction is a hard thing to crack, no one forced her to take drugs in the first place, and surely the prospect of giving up an addiction in order to live a safer, happier life and also to be able to take care of one's children would be a big enough incentive to actually seek help or have the willpower to give up by yourself.
The graffiti 'artist' was not being forced to trespass, and despite the fact that maybe spraying the side of a train was just so difficult to resist (not unlike when you take a dog for a walk and it wants to cock its leg up on every other gatepost), you'd think the fact that he was a father, and his actions have resulted in his death and his child growing up without a father, would have been enough for him to go home and be with his family.
This is of course independent of the fact that what they were doing is illegal and they probably have great respect for that sort of 'artwork' until someone does it to their property.

Very strange how there is now Very rarely a mention of this in the local press, apart from an Ex-Chairman who resigned, due to looking after his now Late wife who was Very ill, yet some joker...
