Ok, let's put it this way.
I don't appreciate people saying preserved lines go above 25mph because the HMRI, RAIB, and HSE all look at internet forums and have in the past issued warnings to lines to keep the trains at the speed limits or else.
I see posters at Quorn regularly saying "Careless talk costs lives"...well not quite in this case.
Salopian, it's a minimum of 35mph for the TPO equipment to operate and a maximum of around 60mph. The GCR is restricted to 35mph for the operation, which is the fastest you'll see it done in preservation.
