Default Tyne and Wear Metro incident

"At 11.25 a passenger was conveyed to hospital suffering from minor injuries
after falling from 2I04 10.41 Newcastle Airport - Park Lane (Sunderland)
service, whilst the train was stationary at Brockley Whins station. The
passenger, who was using a powered invalid wheelchair, joined the train at
an excess speed and was unable to stop before crossing the width of the
train and colliding with the opposite set of doors. The force of the impact
forced the doors off their runners and allowed them to gape open, with the
occupant of the wheelchair being catapulted through the open door and onto
the opposite running line. Ambulance arrived 11.35, person removed from
    track at 11.44"
