Success of Scarborough Spa Express
As the regular season of the Scarborough Spa Express and the Cambrian counterpart draws to a close, I have read that the Scarborough on was a resounding success and the Cambrian one has been struggling for numbers.
Is it that the Scarborough one is far more accessible to the general public and runs through a larger catchment area?
Can the Cambrian one not be extended to start at Shrewsbury or at least a connection to and from it provided and advertised. It would be a shame to lose these regular main line running days.

Real down turn for the CCT was the fact that it was WCRC job, and Arriva didn't want to advertise it. Also they didn't let them use the facilitys at Mach, not even the mess room. Also a run to Aberyswyth was planned, but Arriva weren't having it. Bit immature if you ask me. Next year should be better, more advertisment.

Just heard that the Black 5 has failed on todays 28th Aug, Scarborough Spa Express, very great shame as this was the last week and the record has been excellent so far.
Hope that it's not too serious, but if anyone knows whats happened, please tell .
