Thread: Issue 14

  1. #1

    Default Issue 14

I know issue 13 is yet to be released but to get into good style it's always good to be able to work "one issue ahead"

Now - from what I can see there are normally no ideas posted in the forum for discussion within the editorial team... if we were to discuss what was going in the mag prior to writing stuff it would make the mag look far more professional.

MSN = useless - logs rarely work

At least on the forum there is somewhere to go back and look to.

I think all info that is recieved for the Magazine should be uploaded to a central location so we can all use it. Unless Andy is on MSN I have no way of getting stuff!

Thanks for the input guys, we really appreciate all the help that you give.
The current situation is that, as you have said, msn etc and could be organised better, we certainly have space available where photos can be left, and we really should look at having something software wise that enables people to upload the pics for the magazine direct to a central point.

The main problem is of course time, several people always send pics at the last moment, and to be fair unless it is mega important or good, nothing gets carried over to the next month. Most TOC's have had an email regarding who we are, and several have responded with bits and bobs, most preserved lines have also had an email (you would be suprised how many dont have an email address though),
I have no objection to forward planning of features and articles and if anyone wants me to contact a particular organisation then again, no problem.

Please let us know which way you want to go, and we'll try to sort it out, but as i've said, time is the main factor though, articles and features can be planned, but we might have to set an earlier deadline.

Surely article writers themselves can contact organisations? Not really too difficult - it allows for more direct contact and specific questions ... just say you're contacting regarding writing an article in X.

I think pictures need to be in one place. For example I currently need stuff to put in Charter Scene...

Andys never online so basically I'm stuck!
