Diesel Gala tp Return to Mid-Hants Railway.

[RIGHT][CENTER]I have just been informed that the diesel gala will return to The Mid-Hants Railway in May 2009 - as soon as I get the dates, I will post them here. The 2009 railway timetable detailing dates of special events should be available in November.

It may be a good opportunity for a Forum Meet? May 2009 looks like a busy month in the south as there is a grand railway gala also planned for a weekend in May at Eastleigh Locomotive Works, which still very much alive.
( I was not aware that anyone has copied the magazine?? ).

I have to agree. it does seem very similar to Railtalk but not as good

I have had a look at the link - it seems that the pirate newsletter is based on
Mid-Norfolk Railway in East Anglia - thankfully no connection with the Mid-Hants Railway, the latter being of course in East Hampshire. The Mid-Hants Railway has its own informatative web-site - www.watercressline.co.uk with a link also for on-line advance purchase tickets, of which next year, the Diesel Gala will be included and the Preservation Society publishes its own high-gloss hard-copy quarterly magazine - "Mid-Hants News".

I have the dates for the Mid-Hants Railway Diesel Gala -

Friday 29th May Saturday 30th May and Sunday 31st May 2009.

The weekend is the one following the Eastleigh Locomotive Works Open Day so maybe some of the visitors will be travelling for the event. There will be plenty of activity in the south during that period.

I will look forward to a meet up!
