Lord nelson at ropley.
I am pleased to report that at 19.00hrs on 11th February 2009, the preserved Southern Railway 850 Lord Nelson arrived at Ropley, Mid-Hants Railway, having arrived by low-loader earlier in the day. The tender had arrived by low-loader on 10th February 2009. The loco will be operating trains as soon as possible and I hope it will be a crowd puller during this season.

MHR Failures.
The Standard Class 5 Cylinder Frame will require a new casting. It is likely to be out of action for a few months. The Class 33 should be repaired and back in action soon.

Sorry to drag up an old thread,
but both the STD 5 and the 33 are under repair , with the Std 5s Cylinder casting being made, and the 33 has had its spare bogies sent off, she should leave the MHR soon for power unit overhaul73109

Hello All I was pointed in this direction from another forum. I like anything that run on rails or operates from airfields. Wil put some photos up when I get home later.
