    Default Tramway Revival in Weymouth?

The following item caught my eye from the Dorset Daily Echo newspaper:-

I personally feel that it is pie in the sky. The Weymouth Quay tramway is still largely intact but in order to gain access to the former Portland branch line, the new build tramway will have to come off the exisiting line to cross the inner harbour by means of a new bridge and then by using the existing harbour road will need to gain access to the former trackbed of the Portland Railway which is now a cycle path. However, the formation of the line to Portland remains at least as far as the causeway to Portland. Somehow I doubt if such a scheme could be achieved before 2012?
