    Hi Martin I love your pictures, and thanks for posting some here. Hoping to make several visits to Czech Republic this year. Is the open day happening at Olomouc in September??

    Excellent - I have never been to Czech - only to the border at Gmund (Austria) many years ago, when photography was forbidden at the border.

    The "Open Day" is happening at all larger depots, because the 26th of September is called "The Railways Day."

    Yes and guess who didn't know about it and doesn't get there till the day after.
    I totally forgot about the last weekend of september being rail day

    forgot to ask, whats the fuss about an open day at cesky treb, and no photos allowed. ???

    I don´t know about some photo restriction in the facilities of CD. If the factory of CZ Loko will be opened for public, than yes, taking pictures is prohibited. CZ Loko is private subject without any relationship to Ceska Trebova station and as the private subject it has got it´s own rules.

    Last year I was in Brno and everybody was able to take picture of anything...

    Thanks for that Martin. I have just returned from a visit to Czech, excellent as always, can you please tell me if the rumours are true about the
    PKP locos not working the 23.00 moscow train anymore ( i think the trains is not going to run) and what of the goggles taking over from the grumpies?

    Do I need a quick trip over there again before the december timetable change??
