This weekend 18/19th Sept I visited two gala's.

Saturday was the Battlefield line, a superb day out and nice friendly staff. It was a real pleasure to go, highly recommended

Sunday was NYMR, another excellent line up of locos, but sadly pretty poor weather.However the event in my opinion was marred by obnoxious station staff who only care about the steam pullman train, and made visiting diesel fans not very welcome, There was no need for this, we pay our fares just like steam enthusiasts do.
